Is it time for you to see a dentist in Waterlooville?

Can you remember the last time you visited your local dental practice? If you can't recall the last time you had a routine dental checkup or an appointment with a dentist, it is likely that it has been too long since your last visit. You do not need to have a dental issue to book an appointment at your local dental practice as it is recommended that individuals see their local dentist at least once a year as part of their oral care regime.

So if you are based in Waterlooville and are looking for a dental practice, why not visit our team at Cowplain Dental Practice, where our experienced dentist in Waterlooville can help you get back on track to having healthy teeth and gums.

About Cowplain Dental Practice

Established in 1967, our team at Cowplain Dental Practice have been providing high-quality dental treatments for all the family. From general checkups to cosmetic dentistry, whatever your current dental concern may be, you can trust that a member of our experienced team will be able to provide you with the utmost professional care to help you achieve your dental goals and maintain healthy teeth and gums.

If you have not visited our practice before, we would recommend that you book a new patient appointment with our dentist in Waterlooville.

What to expect as a new patient at Cowplain Dental Practice

New patient examinations will last roughly 30 to 45 minutes and are designed for us to gain as much information as possible to establish a patient’s current dental issues along with what the patient would like to achieve.

When you visit our practice for your appointment as a new patient, you will be asked to fill out both a medical and dental history questionnaire. We ask you to complete these forms as it allows us to find out more about you and, should you have a dental concern, helps us to determine whether any pre-existing medical conditions or prescribed medications you are on are affecting your oral health.

Following this, you can expect a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth, including your jaw joint and mouth opening. Our dentist in Waterlooville will use x-rays and take photographs of your teeth as the results produced can help to identify any problems with your teeth and assist our dentist in choosing the most suitable dental treatment should you need it. Your mouth will also be screened for oral cancer, with your tongue, cheek and other areas of soft tissues in your mouth being examined thoroughly for any white patches.

For those who do not require any further dental treatment, you will be advised to book a routine dental appointment within six months to a year. However, should you require dental treatment, our dentist will provide you with the right treatment options and as much information as possible in order for you to make an informed decision. Other important aspects of the treatment, such as payment options, will also be discussed.
